Welcome to the website of the WA Radio Modellers Inc (WARMS). We are a group of radio control enthusiasts from the Perth area. Our main flying site is located at the end of Gemma Road in Henderson, Western Australia. Members have full access and flying is permitted on any day of the week, but if you want to come down for a look you will see larger gatherings on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am onwards.
WARMS encourages all forms of radio controlled model flying, that is fixed wing, multirotors and helicopter. We have approximately 120 members and believe that we have one of the best, dedicated model flying sites in Western Australia. The site at Henderson also includes a dedicated track for 1/4 scale r/c cars. If you are in the Perth Metro, please feel free to come and visit us.
The Club was formed in the early 1960's and currently is the largest single club in WA. Spectators and visitors are always welcome, and if you wish to fly, on arrival at the club, please contact a member and ask for an explanation of the clubs safety procedures.
For visitors wanting to fly, we require to see proof of membership and the signing of the visitors book prior to flying, with the book located at the clubhouse.
If you are interested in taking up aeromodelling as a hobby feel free to contact us. We will recommend what type of aircraft is needed, show you what is involved in getting started, learning to fly and progressing past the initial stages.
